"IF THERE'S A WILL THERE'S A WAY"
There's a specific timing that we have more energy to exert towards our willpower.
What is willpower? Willpower is conscious choice. We decide on want we want, and take actions to get there.
Conscious choice lives in the prefrontal cortex of the brain. It's our evolved brain, and last in, first out, it unfortunately gets fed last.
Our brain is only 2% of our entire body mass, but uses 20% of the calories we burn. Most of those calories are going towards the primal/survival part of our brain, functioning to keep us breathing and our hearts beating (Thank goodness for that!).
When we get low on energy, fuel is pulled away from our prefrontal cortex to feed our primal/survival brain.
Have you ever been watching what you eat, and have been "good" all day, only to binge at night? Yup, your prefrontal cortex has switched off for the night, and your primal/survival brain is switched on telling you to FEED IT!!
This is where front-loading your day with the things that matter comes in handy. This is when we have the most energy and control over our decisions and actions.

Think of willpower like a battery. Getting low on willpower? Recharge it! Go for a walk, have a nap, eat a delicious nutritious meal.
